What an amazing story! That jacket was meant to be!

I so appreciate you all! Thank you for your well wishes and
kind thoughts. So amazing to see that April 5 is also YLF’s anniversary. Kismet
upon kismet!

KMM: Said consignment shop is in Portland Maine (Haberdashery
on Commercial) – and of course on Instagram. (The Wearhouse, in Portsmouth NH, is also on Instagram.)

MsMaven: I’m so sorry yesterday was a sad day; glad to have
brought you any amount of joy.

ANewMindset and TheCat: Hang in there. It’s a scary
diagnosis but can end up as only a small part of your history. Hoping for the
best for you.

Suz: Being with Angie on that day was a miracle indeed. I
miss you and remember our Boston shopping with fondness.

Fashion karma!
Nice to see you again and what a lovely story

what a lovely story and fantastic way to celebrate your 5 year mark!

VIVIAN! I teared up reading this.

Showed it to Greg, who got goosebumps.

Extremely touching. Thanks for sharing it with us - and on YLF's 17th birthday. What a gift. I'm in awe.....

I've met you at least four times! Lucky me! In Boston, twice or three times in Seattle, and once in Salt Lake City. Always a pleasure, lots of fun, and time well spent! I remember our morning of "the surreal news" like it was yesterday. You were so brave, emotionally intelligent, and inspiring. You looked KILLER stunning too. Such an elegant natural beauty, you are. I told you right away, of course!

We shopped for a while and found that perfect Viv-blazer! Sharp, clean, and with a good dose of spunk. It helped distract us, and we laughed quite a bit together too!

I AM THRILLED - like you and your loved ones - that you got through your diagnosis positively and strongly. What an enormous relief. Bless your healed and healthy body forever.

And to have come full circle with the same blazer again, in the right size, is MAGICAL! WOW. Kismet and for sure. WOW!!!

Viv, love that you chimed in. A treat! Miss you at YLF. Please feel free to not be a stranger! You are always welcome here. Show us your beautiful self in that blazer! Much love. xo

Suz, thanks for the awfully gracious words.

Hello my friend! Lovely to see you here this morning I LOVE this story - for so many reasons...the least of it being finding such a great piece of clothing once again. Cheers to 5 years of being cancer-free. I remember this like it was yesterday. I also love your painted pieces - such a fun way to make finds.

Wow, that is an amazing thing to happen just on that day-Serendipity! Congratulations and enjoy the new/old jacket that not only looks good, but holds such strong memories.

In October this year I will be at 20 years since my breast cancer diagnosis. Mine was metastatic, so I had surgery, chemo and radiation, as well as 5 years of medicine (Tamoxifen and Arimidex). All this to say, times have changed, and we can have a long future ahead!

I think I remember meeting you at a Portland, OR Meetup. We both had daughters new to the area, and it was great talking to another mother about that. Mine is still there, probably for good.

Enjoy wearing that blazer in your healthy, cancer-free life!

Your story is a beautiful miracle and speaks to your own strength and spirit. I wish you many happy, healthy, beautifully dressed years to come!

That’s amazing, Viva. Truly the jacket was meant for you.
