Karie, I am so sorry about the loss of Jasper. I too had a beloved furbaby that was 18 and suffering kidney failure. The hardest thing to do was to put her to sleep, but she was suffering and I couldn't bear that. The memories of the happy, crazy, funny, and sometimes annoying things that they do will get you thru. Minnie was a seal point Siamese kitty (her brother's name was Mickey! who loved sausage pizza (she would start to howl as soon as she could smell the sausage cooking! and she was my constant companion. She has been gone for 10 years but I still think of her and miss her terribly. But she brought much joy to my life as I am sure Jasper did to yours and my memories are happy ones. Our furbabies are part of the family and there is nothing like the unconditional love they give us. Sounds like Jasper received much love and care in return!
