Good for you! Those pieces look like they are made for you. I like the detail of the lace on the jacket. Smart thinking to get it lined if that ends up working out better.

What a great deal! I am in desperate need of both of those items myself. I am glad you snapped them up.

Great score! " Wardrobe Essentials" that will be a great backbone. Exactly what I was aiming to express about, if you are wearing conservative items, try to find ones that make you feel slightly luxurious when you wear them. But not to break the bank, so, even at lower price points ( such as sales on BR, AT ) some items will turn up that a store just happens to do very well, maybe better than their usual quality.
I think you are smart to put office culture above personal style. So many times one will get advice, "oh, you must be true to your own style" but is very easy to be much more "me- fashion " oriented than career- oriented and can be naive about office cultures.
Do you read Corporette? It's way more business- formal oriented than what your office sounds like, but does discuss dressing to fit in, and is fun for another viewpoint to balance the very casual blogs, and also features clothing items that are more conservative but are versatile enough to fit into business casual and can be dressed down or up for occasion.

Wow! What great finds! Hope the jacket turns out to be a match. Even if not, you may find it useful as a stand alone piece?
I'm another Elie Tahari fan. It was a real go-to brand for me when I was working in an office environment. I still turn to it for dresses and blouses. I find the fit to be very reliable across pieces, so am comfortable ordering without trying at this point. There are almost always good discounted pieces available at NR, Off 5th and even Ebay. Though I've NEVER seen a deal close to as impressive as your score - WELL DONE!

Great finds! I hope the jacket works, too.

Next time I'm going shopping, I'll call that research mission, I'm sure I'll feel better about the experience. And I can only dream of finding great bargains like you did - suiting doesn't usually come so cheap
Is it the angle of the pic or the trousers? Dunno but you look 3 ft tall in the last photo

Ok, seriously : great pieces, fit you so well.
Good idea to order the jacket - quite cinched at the waist, that should become you - lace inserts could look interesting or look like the jacket's seams are bursting...

I love the Rack!
This is a more serious score than I've gotten there yet, but they are amazing. The people working at my location are friendlier/ more helpful than at the regular Nordie's

What a great find with the skirt and pants. They were made for you.

I too would recommend lining the lace inserts. I personally really like them but they will make the jacket very memorable - not something you necessarily want with a classic work jacket.

Tanya, Massimo Dutti tends to run smallish, but can be true to size too, depending on the items (which is no help, I know -(
Good idea to make NAS your next shopping priority!-)

I looked at the jacket and it has "inset lace" what is called fagoting. Maybe a trim can be attached behind it to make it look less obvious. You got some great deal! The nearest NR is 4 hours south in Albuquerque.

Beautiful items, fabulous deal, and they look sensational on you! Enjoy.

I adore Elie Tahari. My suit is by them -- the one I got on our Boston meetup. I love the fabric used in the suiting.

What a fantastic find! Yay! These 2 pieces fit you beautifully.

Clever approach to sorting out sizing and brand preferences, Tanya. It really paid off with those two pieces that look custom made for you. Always good when a bargain surfaces; especially when you know the items are just right. Bravo!
