The Cat, I did try belting this, but it has a bit of diagonal seaming under the bust for shape, and that made it bunch oddly when I tried to add a belt. I very much like your idea for a long cardigan and lightweight hosiery, though.
SarahD8, I tried it with the Johnny Was topper and it does work, but I think it might be too dramatic for me. It's a LOT of pattern. I'll definitely play with my scarves, as well. My sister-in-law just made me a hand-crocheted shawl in yummy earth tones that I will likely wear with it.
Canada, I have a pretty high tolerance for dark booties with dresses, but I'll definitely add hosiery when it's cool enough.

suntiger, I'm used to layering on and off for mornings and evenings, so I expect the leather jacket to be reserved for California nights...but I still have 8 or 9 months of Colorado weather to get through, too!
JAileen, I did try it with sandals, but I didn't like it with the pair I have. I think there's something there, though!
LisaP, I did try it with my lower-shaft Seychelles booties (in Finds), but I didn't post the pics, because I didn't like it. Still shopping for lower black booties, but they're on the list, since the ones pictured are pretty much worn out. I also have tall boots that would probably work.
