I hope you'll all excuse me for not saying Thank You earlier, but today I have finally had enough time and good light to photograph the amazing top I received from LACeleste just before Christmas. I am a very, very lucky girl to have had two generous and thoughtful YLF Santas.
A few months ago a beautiful sparkly top in the most incredible shade of pomegranate red colour appeared on Style Exchange - it could have been perfect for me, except that it was too small. The lucky recipient of that one was Marley and she looks incredible in it, as you may have seen.
But, that was not the end of the story. LACeleste, who previously owned the red top, contacted me some time later, offering to send me the lovely cardigan she also had on Style Exchange at the time. I won’t go into too many details, I’ll just say that I was looking forward to it and even bought the hose to wear with it.
Fast forward a coupe of weeks, when the parcel arrived I was quite surprised that the cardigan felt rather heavy. Little did I know that inside the parcel was not the cardigan - but the top just like one that one from Style Exchange. You know that line: the photos don’t do it justice. Well, they don’t. It’s one of the most beautiful things I have ever owned and it reaffirms how I want to feel in the things I wear - Happy. The workmanship and the details are incredible, but what gives it its true value is the story behind it which LACeleste shared privately. I am so incredibly honoured by her generosity that I had to reread that story a few times.
I have not worn it out yet, but know for sure where I want to wear it when the occasion arises. And I want to wear it with as simple support act as possible (styled here with my dressy black pants) so it can take the centre stage.
LACeleste -- finally -- to your and your wonderful, charming Noticer whose beautiful personality led to making other women happy, a warm and heartfelt and huge, huge THANK YOU.
