Lovely point, stated in a kind way. Since coming here I have learned between style and price tag there is a huge chasm. Personally I am finding that I envy a person's eye before their budget. The magic is in eye and not the label. I am learning so much from everyone here.

Hey, Anna, I wish I were as diplomatic at you! And pertinent to what Rae said, somehow my mom thinks that her spending priorities are the ONLY right ones!!! It doesn't matter that her friends or whomever aren't asking to borrow money from her or anything like that. Sheesh.

I think it's important to look at what was actually meant. Sometimes if we are feeling a need to defend ourselves on something, suddenly everything seems to be critical. You have posted your doubts about your wardrobe in the last week and I suspect that you have seen what were just honest answers to your question, as judgemental of you, when I don't think they were.

Come on everyone, we request and receive feedback on our clothes- that is part of the point. I think this might be a case of misunderstanding and timing.

Mm, we might all be in trouble here if paying attention to and liking high-end designer things is to be condemned.

But I must confess: When I think about, oh say, what the Ferragamo Vara now costs and what I used to pay... and ask myself that question from your thread, Anna, "Is this worth it?"... It would eat me up inside to lie and say "yes," this even tho at any time now I might go put the money down for another pair. I do kinda feel I'm starting to be ripped off and there may come a time to say no.
