I meant to respond to LisaP's lament of the lack of interesting, well-made, sleeved dresses with my own complaint. I've been trying to find a summer dress that's just throw on and go. Light, forgiving, easy. Too much to ask? I began to think so. I have several curves which makes finding a dress very difficult.
I think I've tried on over 2 dozen dresses with no luck. A girlfriend of mine grabs these easy dresses at places like Joe Fresh for under 20 bucks and she's done. Not me. I came close yesterday at a gear store called Sail (Canadian retailer out of Quebec which sells hunting, fishing and camping gear. They also sell clothes (mostly Columbia, NorthFace and the like) but they also had some items from a line called Sandwich (I think out of the Netherlands). I have a pair of pants from years ago from this line that I loved. The dress was linen on the front with a knit cotton for the back torso and sleeves. The size wasn't right
So today I was at Yorkdale (big mall in Toronto) and they have a stand-alone Wilfred (line from Aritzia). I didn't know this existed until today. I found this dress, bought it and think I love it. I'll have to sleep on it.
