Hi Jenn, I'm so late to reading this. My heart goes out to you and your family, and I hope that the week has eased your grief a little. Moxie sounds like she was such a fun friend. I love when our cats fetch and carry things around. "Thoughtfully rearranging" is exactly right.

Thank you all for your kind words, and my apologies for not responding to it all sooner. It was a VERY difficult week after those 36 hours. Kevin was in near-constant pain and we were all grieving, but afterwards, we had family visiting and a string of very good days, so we're on the mend, both physically and psychologically. Your sympathy and thoughtfulness has helped.

Jenn, so sorry to hear this news. I am glad that Kevin is getting better. Whilst I still grieve the loss of my beloved pets, I have always found solace in the knowledge that they had good lives and were adored. The empty house feeling is so very real.

So sorry I missed this post. My heart goes out to you, we went through the same on Nov 8 with our 17 year old kitty .Always so sad, I'm sure you still look for your kitty each day , I know I do. Sending a belated hug.
