Glass Pearl Extra Long Strand Necklace

As the Pearl Queen, I am extremely fussy about my faux pearls. They have to be the right colour and look real. They also need to be quite heavy so that they drape well over clothing – like real pearls do. This necklace fits the bill perfectly and is available in several colours. My wardrobe would not function without this long strand of pearls.

I have these in black (purchased from Nordstroms.com) and they are very pretty. The only reason I didn’t buy them in white is because I purchased similar 72″ faux pearls in white from Carolee. The only difference between them is the black pearls have a small clasp. I wish I could buy them in every color!

i have these in the light gray…they’re the only faux strand i have. like angie, i’m super picky. love the iridescence and the weight. thinking about the cream strand…mmmm….

These glass faux pearls completely blow away the long strand of costume pearls I bought a few years ago. The heavy weight makes the beads drape convincingly across fabric, and when I held them up against my short strand of real pearls, I could hardly tell a difference in the sheen.
The champagne and black pearls were beautiful, too, but I opted for white as the others didn’t work as well with my skin tone.

I bought these in white and love them! They are heavy enough to drape nicely, and long enough to knot several different ways. I also have a shorter strand of 6mm glass pearls in gray that I bought two years ago during NAS, and these are equally as nice. Thanks, Angie, for the recommendation!

Just got mine this week and I love it. ( I got mine in the white.) The longer length makes it so versatile. I had been avoiding wearing my other pearls because they were too short and made me feel too Old Lady. Not these!

Unbelievable. I finally understand the importance of having good quality costume jewelry because this stands head and shoulders above anything else I’ve seen. It’s a steal for this price. OMG! Get this necklace!

I have nothing but superlatives for these pearls! I bought them about a year ago (the white ones) and still wear them at least once a week. The colour is splendid, they’re very high quality (still look as good as new) and the length is super, super versatile. You can wear them in so many different ways* and they go with everything, from the most casual to the most dressy outfit. Absolutely recommend them!!

* and I bet Angie has a few more “pearl knots” in store for us;-)

These pearls have a very nice weight to them. The length leaves lot’s of options and they do not get twisted when knotting them in different fashions. They are a little on the lager size for a petite gal though. They do not look cheap like most costume pearls. A real bargain for the price.

I just acquired these recently and couldn’t be more pleased! The pearls are weighty and substantial, as others have indicated, but they are in no way too heavy once around your neck. The length allows for many fun styling options, and the pearls themselves feel like lovely quality at the perfect size. I foresee a lot of wardrobe air time for my white strand!

Sorry to say that I didn’t like these at all, especially after all of these reviews! My disclaimer to my review is that I normally have an aversion to pearls, and the only pearls that I like and wear often is a dark gray necklace I bought at Macys a few years ago. I purchased the light grey color in these pearls and I found that they looked too obviously artificial. My husband took one look at them and said that they looked really fake. They also arrived in a very small package and were bent out of shape. Sorry Angie, I didn’t like this recommendation!

What a fantastic purchase! The length is enough that it can be knotted different ways and I’ve even quadrupled the strand and worn it as a choker. An indispensable piece of jewelry if you love pearls.

Got these as a Christmas gift from my hubby. I love them! I’ve worn them about 7 different ways already. As others mentioned, the weight is very nice. They look great. Angie, thanks for helping hubby get a perfect gift.

I purchased these as a Christmas gift to myself. Was very excited to try out Angie’s knotting method. However, when I knotted them, it didn’t look right on me for some reason. I think because I’m so petite (5′), the scale of the knots are wrong. I also feared the 10 mm size was too much for my small frame. I wore them out last night anyway – not knotted, but triple layered. With a Chanel-inspired sweater. Every last one of my friends raved about them, asked if they were real, asked to touch them, to try them on themselves, and to send them the link so they could buy their own. Needless to say, I will be wearing them again!

I bought these for myself (in white). They are my first classic pearl strand and I am quite happy with them. I own real pearls (in the form of earrings, ring, pendant, and a short necklace of about 11 pearls with space between them), and these look quite convincing in comparison. Their color is a little more green/cool than the real pearls (as opposed to a more creamy/warm sheen). For that reason alone I am taking away one star but overall great for the price. Angie’s endorsement gives me reason to believe they’ll stay as good as new a long time.

I just received these pearls today and am wondering how I survived without them! I am not usually a fan of pearls, but these completely won me over. The length is perfect and the weight is substantial (as many reviewers have noted). Both of these qualities make the necklace incredibly versatile. You can wear it doubled, tripled, knotted…the possibilities are endless. So happy with this purchase. And the price is terrific!

Once again, another top-notch pick from Angie. I recently ordered these in both the 10mm that Angie recommends and the 6mm; I was concerned the 10mm might be too overwhelming on me so wanted to try both sizes. The 6mm did not hang nicely ~ the smaller-sized pearls don’t have enough weight, I guess ~ and did not look all that great. The 10mm pearls, however, are outstanding. They have quite a bit of heft (but not too heavy for me) and drape beautifully. Not too big on me at all. I love them and expect to get a lot of use out of them; as others have mentioned, the length makes them quite versatile. Thank you, Angie!
