Gap Perfect Bootcut Jeans

This fit is similar to the Amber boot cut style by premium denim brand Citizens of Humanity. Very fab. The style bags out a little after a day of wear but it’s perfectly manageable. The rise length is quite high, offering a girdling effect. A basic pair of affordable jeans offered in several washes and lengths. Available in petite, regular and tall. Quite the win.

I recently purchased this style at the Gap and wore them for the first time last Friday. Best fitting pair of jeans I own, and I have all premium jeans. I was afraid they would bag out a bit after wearing, but they did not for me. Looked great after a long night out. I have a 26″ waist and 36″ hips. I purchased a size 26. I’m typically a 27, so I had to size down. No gapping at the waist, no digging in either. I bought the long length which are 35″ long, but the tall goes to 37″ for you really tall gals. Very impressed with Gap denim!

At 5’3″ I find the short length of these jeans fit perfectly with my cowboy boots. I think the name says it all, they are a great length and style for boots. They are just big enough that you do not see the top of the boots underneath the jeans, just a long line from top to bottom.

These are my favorite Gap jeans. The short length is perfect for my 5’3″ frame. The rise is nice too–it’s refreshing to have a pair of jeans that don’t require constant hiking. I agree with Lisa, these jeans are great over boots–they are wide enough that the top of the boot does not break the line of the jean. I wish they came in black.

Wanted to add that I get the regular in the short length. I haven’t tried the petite sizes.

I got these this weekend, and while I love the fit and wash of these jeans, they do not work as well with my boots as I hoped. I can wear them with my cowboy boots, but the top of the boots do break the leg line a bit. My taller, very slim boots don’t work at all with them. If wearing them with cowboy boots is your goal, then make sure you try them on with your boots to be sure they’ll work.

i loved how these fit and feel when i tried them on BUT i hated the washes available at my local gap. the dark wash was very faded in the thigh/knee area and i didn’t like the medium wash for a boot cut. the washes look a lot darker online..so i am wondering if my store just didn’t have them all available or what. at any rate, i didn’t buy them for this reason

I just purchased the 4short for $35 on sale at the Gap last night. It’s a smoking deal for a nice pair of jeans. These jeans are just as comfortable and complimentary to my bottom half as my Citizens jeans. Total score for me!

I tried these on in the medium wash and was surprised at how the bootcut looked on me. After so many months of seeing skinnies, these looked flared to my eyes…but I did like them a lot. I could see them working with boots and flats. The regular length was a bit long on me (5’4″), but not so much that it would need hemming. I bought a pair of skinnies and straight leg jeans, so these are on hold for the next sale…but definitely a good buy. Gap denim has been a very pleasant discovery
