Most-worn summer 2022

Collection by CarolS

I need to create a few more finds to add here. BOTTOMS I think I got the most wear out of the charcoal CK pants. I wore them both at home and for running around town. It was such a treat to have lightweight casual cotton trousers. I also got good wear around home from the brown ones. They stretch and bag in funny ways so aren't great going out pants, but super light and comfy for hot days around home. And I love the colour. I also got a lot of wear from the duplicate CK pair in beige. VERY happy with them. I bought them to replace a polyester pair I decided were just not quite right. Brown YFB linen pants didn't get a lot of wear because I bought them late and I would probably save them for "good" - work, dinners out, etc. They are a bit snug right now as I gained a few pounds over the past month. :-( I wore the pale blue linen pants and the toffee ones. Blue are around home only. A bit schlumpy. But good for hot weather. The toffee can be given a bit of structure through use of a belt. They work with my cognac sandals and bag but are not traditionally flattering. TOPS I bought three flowered tanks and got the most enjoyment from those. Other summer tops sat unworn. Of the three floral tanks, the one with the keyhole neck is my favourite, although I have very much enjoyed the floucy one too. I think I like these so much because I don't worry about spills or smudges showing up!! I see the keyhole neck continuing to work into fall under a topper. The other two not so much. Another surprise favourite was the little orange shrug/cardigan. Works with all the tops and makes me feel 'alive'. Jean jacket got worn a lot. LESS WORN White linen topper white tank with beige button (nice but doesn't work with any topper so far. Would need a beige one IMO. NOT WORN These were pieces I had mostly seen as being for the office or going out. I didn't wind up going to the office, and family circumstances meant we didn't go out much, either. I COULD return there, but am not sure... They are all good foundational pieces that help round out a summer wardrobe.
