I wore one of my "drapey" cardis this weekend and was inspired to take pics after reading the recent conversation about pairing these with a dress, which doesn't really make sense because I was wearing mine with jeans. Confusing much? It's nearly my bedtime.

Anyway here's what I wore yesterday!

The top underneath that you can't really see very well is yet another Target top of mine bought recently for $10 - woohoo!!! Now that I have cut off some weird tassley bits hanging off the front, I love it!!!

I really like the second photo, the cardigan looks so casually draped over your shoulders, did it take five minutes of adjusting to create the look?

Yes LouLou it is versatile - great for travelling too because it is so light, doesnt wrinkle and has a hood too!!!

R&J it doesn't take 5 mins to adjust - you just throw it over each shoulder! Sometimes I do use a pin to keep it in place though because it can slip as you move around.

Anne, yes the sleeves do loop over the thumb. You can see the outline of my watch underneath. This is good on cooler days, and really good when you're riding a bike as I discovered earlier in the year in San Francisco!!

Oh I really like it! I have a ton of those and my eye enjoys seeing them. One of the women I work with wears hers like you have it in the second photo -- looks great!

Rute, thanks! I love these skinnies too, although the light colour scared me initially. I am now even thinking about getting a white pair!!

Inge, the jeans are COH Ava straight legs. I bought them from Bloomingdales when I was in SF. The rise is a tad too low for my liking, but the softness of the denim and the unusal colour sold me on them anyway. I didn't try on other COH styles, so I don't know how the sizing compares, which is why I didn't comment on your other thread. I hope to see you sporting a pair of skinnies/straight legs soon too!!!!

Marianne I don't want to twist your arm, but I am finding this style perfect for my casual lifestyle, which I think you wear a lot of too, right?? I feel more casual than wearing a shorter or a BF style cardie. Great for throwing on to wear to a cafe, or even just lounging around the house - as comfy as wearing a blanket!!!

Ooooh, this is the first chance I've had to look at the photos on my good computer; that is FABULOUS sweater, and you look slim and chic and awesome in it.

And, your hair! Wow, your hair looks so great, especially in that first photo. Are you growing it out? It's so pretty down and loose on your shoulders.

Aww thanks Kristen - such kind words!! My hair is growing out, but more from neglect than anything else!!! I haven't had it cut since January - its long overdue. The ends are very nasty!!

Is there anyone else here who only gets their hair cut once or twice a year, or am I just the laziest person ever???

You look fab Tam. And I think the cardi would look great on casual day dresses too, even better with leggings.

Aaand, you're not the laziest person wrt haircuts. It's embarrassing but I'll say it anyways, I got my hair cut last in December 08...LOL I usually don't go more than 3 mos between haircuts, but this time I've been dilly dallying. I want something different and I don't know what it is. Time to post and ask you all.

Wow, I LOVE this outfit, Tam! It's one of my favorites of yours. It's still your style, but a little more structured. You look beautiful and very earth/free. Wow! This is killer, in my opinion.

Hehe Tam, I am quite lazy myself, and even though I get my hair cut every 3 months or so, that's about how frequently I use a hair dryer I do feel need to step it up as I get older. Actually, it reminds me that I am due for a haircut, too.
