I am not going to buy it, because it included angora hair which shed.

But the whole silhouette was different for me. i like the high low aspect of it, as like having my lower back covered.

This skirt was a poor choice - I just grabbed it off the shelf to try it on with as I was wearing a dress that wasn't compatible. It is way too thigh emphasizing for my liking. I also realize that a black skirt makes it harder to see where the jumper ends.

Love to hear any thoughts. It is likely I'll only buy one sweater (if any) this Australian winter, so I am being picky about it.

I like it Anne ! I think the graphic spots gives it a modern edge and I also like that it is slightly more form fitting. It would be good to see it with jeans or other bottoms. I think this style could work for lots of occasions.

Anne, I really like it. I also like how it's styled on the model with the flared skirt... I think you could carry that off really well. Portmans items seem to work well on you... I don't have so much luck.

I wish I can see the bottom of the hem because I can't quite see that it's a high-low effect...

But...

The sweater is well-fitted and definitely looks great on you! I really like the skirt and your shoes with it!

I really like the pattern and I like hi-lo of there is a longer layered shirt on the shorter end. I also swore off of angora last year for many reasons.

I like it on you & especially like how they have styled it on the website. How versatile would it be for you? As in how many other knits do you have? What do they work with? What would this need to work with? I know you have a small wardrobe anne & these are the questions I would ask myself before making a decision.

I like the sweater too. That shape, the banded bottom, the stand-out pattern, the dramatic black and white. I think you should definitely look around.

Have you tried the cropped top, high waist look? Just curious.

Deb - I do like Portmans, though they are a bit pricey for me right now.

Isobel - not sure if I am ready for hilo over a shirt. But I won't rule it out

Caro - I was hoping it would work both with a skirt for work and jeans for the weekend. I do have enough clothes for work so weekend is a priority. As for how many other knits I have - a reasonable number but 1) they are all pretty old
2) I do need to check for mothballs. The first knit I took out had one and I haven't seen if there is more damage

Looks great on you, and I like the print! Wish I could see more details. Black is so hard to photograph.

I love the sweater Anne! It looks modern and fresh on you. I also think the skirt looks great --- thighs curve, too, on almost everyone! Nothing wrong with pairing this with a flared skirt or trousers, either, of course.

I would say, however, that if you're only buying one sweater, a solid would probably be more versatile.

Wow, I actually think the sweater and the skirt look fantastic on you! I'm pretty sensitive about thigh, um, enhancement, but I really think this looks nice. I hear you on angora though -- I can't wear it unless it is in small quantities in a blend.

Angora would give me problems too but I can see you in a black and white sweater like this style, it really suits you.

If the knits you already have are plain, something with a pattern like this would be a great addition!
