Here's how the Challenge Chain is envisioned.
1. If you choose to participate, you'll get placed on a numbered list. (Your location on the list doesn't determine when your challenge will arise since the order of the challenges will be generated randomly.)
2. I'll kick things off by using a random number generator to pick the first person to be challenged.
3. I'll try to get a sense of what style goals that person is working on by looking at their past posts, and I'll use that information to pose a challenge. (For example, I love neutrals, and once got challenged to incorporate two bright colors into one outfit.)
4. After I pose the challenge, the first participant fulfills the challenge and posts pictures. To keep things moving, it's best if you can fulfill your challenge within a day or two. But if your challenge comes up at a bad time for you, or if you get a challenge that seems overwhelming to you for any reason, please don't worry. Just PM me and we'll figure out together whether you'll sit this one out completely or whether you just need to postpone your participation. This should not be a stressful or intimidating experience!
5. After the first participant fulfills her challenge, I will go back to the random number generator and have it select someone for that person to challenge, and she will then follow steps 3 and 4 for Participant #2..
6. The last person comes back around and challenges me.
ETA: We later tweaked this to add that anyone who wanted to attempt a challenge posed to someone else should feel free to go ahead and post her results on that challenge thread, any time after the original challengee had posted her own photos.
