Hello there TG:

I have been reading your last few posts to get 'to know you' better.

I know you are a beautiful SAHM and a wonderful parent. You have many talents and are a good friend and a great listener. You have innate style and have acquired and applied a lot of additional information about fashion- not just clothes but everything that 'style' encompasses.

However... recently you have had some self doubt with your style journey. I would like to challenge that self doubt and hopefully bolster your confidence by your own actions during this challenge.

Part one:

For three days I want you to apply ACT therapy to your style. ACT stands for acceptance and commitment therapy. A-accept your thoughts and feelings, C-choose a valued direction and T-take action.

Stylistically and sartorially speaking you would accept how you are feeling- good, bad, doubtful, questioning about your style and accept the feelings as they are. They are merely thoughts and feelings. Accept them without prejudice- It just is.

You would then choose a valued direction related to overall style. This does not necessarily be related to your thoughts that day ( although it can). Lets say you wake up feeling you do not know if high contrast or low contrast in clothes is better suited to you.Ok accepted. One of your unrelated sartorial values to this thought might be comfortable footwear.

You might then choose your action of the day as choosing and wearing comfortable shoes. That was your committed action for the day.

Hopefully this explanation makes sense but please pm me if you have questions.

Your challenge: Please describe to us ACTually speaking those three days in words and pictures.

Part two:

Using current items in your wardrobe create a style board ( any way you like) for two outfits that make you feel fab.

FABulously yours,

Sona.
