W.I.W to N.Y. and D.C. - YouLookFab Forum

WIW for a quick weekend trip to The Apollo Theater in Harlem, N.Y. and the Dr. King memorial in Washington, D.C. It was a whirlwind trip flew into Washington D.C. and then drove to N.Y. Had a great time did lots of walking and sight seeing. Took in a Broadway show Kinkyboots and just had a great time overall. Loved both places but I think that I am addicted to N.Y. I could people watch for days. Th best part was I was complimented on my outfit choices by strangers loved it.

Visited a Times Square, Broadway, The Village, Harlem, in, N.Y.
In Washington saw some of the major sights. The Dr. King Memorial, Lincoln Memorial, and because I am a Veteran and my dad was in Vietnam, The Vietnam Wall

JulieJohn the outfit was fun I had a small capsule wadrobe in a carry on for a 3 day trip I had the greatest time.

Fabulous. The matching of striped boater and striped top works really well. I liked the denim coloured flats with the top/jeans combo the best.

I'd like to see the King memorial. I had no idea it was so dramatic! (I'm a radio listener.)

Diane G- I am not an outgoing person deffiently an introvert but I let my clothing speak for me. My clothing usually sparks all kinds of conversation I like it.

rachylou- I purchased the boater hat while in Harlem I am gonna rock that hat hard this spring summer and fall. The Dr. King Memorial was not a large as I imagined it to be but it had quite an impact on me.

April- thank you, I loved my first trip to N.Y. I will most certanily go back for a longer stay it was wonderful. Because I am a people watcher and I fit right in. I no longer felt like the odd man out. Like I do here in Chicago sometimes.
