WIW TAKE 2: Leather skirt with flats

Okay, a second attempt since I don't have the right belt...More fitted top and Aravon flats in patent raspberry! I know flats with a pencil skirt are a no-no, but I'm okay with it for today if it's not horrendous (in keeping with today's blog post)!

Yay or nay?

I think the flats are fine. I'd prefer a pair without a strap but with your fab legs you can definitely pull it off. I like the sleeker top, too.

I like this top way better! I'm still on team heels, but I don't hate the flats. The strap sort of takes it into casual territory, though.

This is my absolute favourite so far Una. Very chic and approachable. That top is simply divine.

Thanks Freckles! This top is actually an old Worthington top from Penney's! I'm glad you like it... I was debating whether to keep it because of the bell sleeves.

Ok, so I like this one better and think that the flats work here(not because I love flats but because I sincerelly feel they work).
Top part, don't you have a kind of swing jacket in red?I think it would look good with this skirt.

So I just had a meeting with another lawyer and she said "Oh, I LOVE your leather skirt - I wear mine all the time!" Phew, I feel better now. I can honestly see myself wearing this all the time too. It's gotten more comfy as I sit around in it, and the leather really holds me in nicely without binding, because of the wide waistband.

If it's decided that you feel the bell sleeves are dated Una would you modify the top?

This looks nice and I think the flats work Since I bat for team belt, I'm wondering what a low contrast belt would look like with this top.

Freckles, this top is fairly old and was cheap - not sure I would pay, but I might chop them off myself (the shirt is mesh like a Sweet Pea shirt). I'm okay with the bell sleeves, but I wasn't sure if I look dated in them.

AJ, definitely going to try belts with this skirt - I am not on Team Belt, so it's a bit out of my comfort zone and I definitely need more than the two belts I have now...

After wearing this all day, I am happy to say I would wear it again as is - really easy and I got three compliments from IRL friends who saw it in person. Already thinking of the next way to wear it when I get back... Thanks for all the encouragement!
