Bet you're wondering why a post on shoes is in off topic..?

Last month I joined Run/Walk For Life. I am not sure if there are organisations like this elsewhere - I am sure there are... well it's just the best thing I have done for me in a long time!

The group meets three times a week at one of the local schools. We walk the sports fields and after a substantial period of field walking/running, members can take to the road. You start with just 10 minutes of brisk walking and increase the time spent walking or running by 2.5 minutes every third session. In my first session, I walked about 600m in 10 minutes - I am now walking (an even running a bit) just over 3km in 27.5 minutes!!!

After two weeks of going to the group, my hubby decided to give it a go and he has signed up with me. We now go as a family to RWFL and the kids are loving the time out with us too!

I discovered after just a week or two that my shoes weren't up to the job, so I decided to get myself a pair of quality running shoes. I knew already that I have flat arches and over-pronate, so I took myself shopping at a specialist sports shop for some new shoes.

These are my awesome new running shoes:
