I got a last minute invitation to a jazz concert last night at an art and music initiative here in town. I had met the singer in the second band several years ago in NYC. She was a friend of a friend. She had an amazingly beautiful voice. The venue was tiny, with thirty or so in the audience, almost entirely young people, in their twenties maybe. The first band played discordant jazz. I felt transported into a 50s NYC coffeehouse. The second band's music was more harmonious, and appealing to me.
I wore jeans, a drapey 3/4 sleeve tee, new navy faux military jacket, distressed silver belt (with a semi tuck for Smittie), and my Dansko sandal clogs. I also wore a hammered silver necklace that I bought from Etsy recently. I felt perfectly suitable for the occasion. Plus, the door was open and it was a chilly evening, and I was glad to be wearing warmer clothes. My poor friend had sandals and no jacket and she was cold.
As to the Keep/Return:
The Skagen bags arrived yesterday. I ordered both sizes, Papa Bear and Baby Bear. (That's not what they call them.) The small one is too small for everyday. The big one is really big. The leather is very nice and the color is perfect. The strap on the big one seems too narrow to me. I wish there was a Mama Bear size. What do you think?
