I love when things coincide nicely, as is the case with today's blog post and the outfit I want to show you.
I actually wore this outfit a few days ago, but could not snap it, so when the friend borrowed me a camera to test it, I had recreated it just for the photo-shoot. After all the future camera will have to perform well when it comes to WIW photos.
This is the jacket's first appearance on the forum, but I bought it quite a while ago and a friend had altered it to fit me as it was too wide, but the sleeves were long and I loved the tailoring and the texture. It is gorgeous navy and every time I wear it - a photo from the history book pops in my head, so I nick-named the jacket as Jacket Napoleon.
And, as reference to today's post here is what I wore:
- Military Jacket: Woolen blend, great textured fabric, very interesting tailoring (lots of small panels), cropped style, high collar - basically all big ticks for me.
- Layering Top: Simple white turtleneck.
- Bottoms: High-waisted skinnies. If I manage to find good pair of BF jeans, I have a feeling I'll love that silhouette too.
- Footwear: I actually love wearing the highest boots I have with this jacket - it feels more military.
- Finishing Touches: The buttons on the jacket and on the trousers are enough for me so I leave everything else out.
- The pose and the stern face are not mine, but copied form the inspiration photo.
