I'm in the US, San Francisco. Mainstream stores here stick to very basic silhouettes. And the fast fashion stores are more focused on teenybopper looks than avant garde. Luckily there's a good Zara near me at least!

I guess it's not so bad, and some of these looks do get to us eventually, but for instance I remember harem jeans were such a huge thing in Australia when I visited in 2010 and are only now maaaaybe reaching the mainstream in the US. They're not my favorite look, but it's indicative of some general trend I think.

This looks very urban to me, Deborah, with bits of feminine in the drape of the top. Looks more NYC than Walmart in central Arkansas, although I do have a wears-like-iron drapey black top from Walmart!

I've been off teaching this week, 2 days in a row, because the Univ. cancelled classes due to a -35F windchill. Shorts look dreamy to me at the moment, but I remember the trouble of dressing for heat, and I'll be just like you in........6 months (sob).

Nice & edgy Deborah doesn't look confused at all It's too hot here for my shorts & shooties I'm living in my linen dresses

Hi Deb! I just love this... The juxtaposition of edge and distressed and drape with the classic combo of denim and black.

It's been really hot here too (not Ozzie hot, but almost!) and I can tell you I know how you feel!!!

Just stunning! Taking notes for my denim skirt ... And those shoes are beyond cool!! And I love your hairstyle. Very chic and stylish.

Hello there, I've been holidaying in Bali and have had limited time on the Internet so am catching up......you look fabulous love this outfit. I always have a peek in Katies, they have had some lovely clothes in stock lately.
As for Nerf wars......how much fun are they, I have twin 9 year old grandchildren and have bought my own guns now so I have a chance when I'm ambushed
