Gorgeous jacket, Suz! It's so wonderful to find something that you've searched for and been so patient finding the perfect one!
You've got to get the pants! Even if you have to do some alterations to get the perfect fit they'll be worth it to complete your suit. You know they'll be longer than ankle length on you, although honestly would they be a deal breaker even if they were?

I'm so happy that your patience paid off and you have your superb jacket! You will enjoy it for years, I feel sure.

Wow - LOVE the jacket - and congratulations on finding the perfect one!

I haven't read all the comments, so I'm sure it's been said, but just in case it hasn't - I'd be glad to be a middle shipper for you. (If it would benefit you at all, that is). I don't have a Reiss nearby, so it would have to be shipped twice, which might negate the benefits.

The jacket is killer. I would love for the pants to work for you so you can cross the PERFECT suit off your list. The rise on them looks pretty high. How do you feel about that? Now that I have finally succumbed to lower rise pants, the dress pants I used to love feel off to me. There's not a Reiss store in Atlanta, or I would go try them on and take pics for you. Keep us posted!

I am happy you love the jacket today, Suz - nothing to cure the buyer remorse like a good night sleep
You know what I think of it so I will not repeat myself <wink>

Now about the trousers: have you decided that you need 2 suits now? Becasue ordering online from US without even trying on this brand is going to be a hassle and quite possible an extra expense. You have your suit now and you have a beautiful navy tux jacket - do you really need those pants? Will you have enough occasions for 2 suits in your life? I know you cna mix and match but you already have trousers to mix and match with.
< this was my voice of reason, you can ignore it if you wish >

Thanks for posting the link to the jacket: I feel much better now. I was kicking myself that I did not try it on in the store just to see if it is a good fit for me but I see now that my size was not available anyway...

Killer to the power of Killer

Oh, Suz. I can't tell you how thrilled I am that you and Viva bought this dressy, crisp, modern and impeccably made beauty. It was SO worth the price. I'm honoured to have been part of the decision making process.

(It's even better in person because you can see the tuxedo tailoring down the centre front).

(Don't forget how well the Club Monaco grey blazer fit you too).

I vote leave the trousers. You just bought the most perfect taupe suit in the world. You are suit sorted. xo

Oh yes. And go Team Reiss. One of my London faves along with L.K Bennett.

Oh gosh, in the spectacularness of the blazer, I almost forgot Suz's taupe suit! She still has not shared that with the group… tsk tsk…

But the jacket, oh the jacket. It really is just an amazing piece of clothing. And to find it right off the rack and have it fit in such perfection is a dream. You look amazing, Suz.

Beautiful and very versatile! I really like how you styled it.

Do share the suit! That changes everything and I say leave the blue trousers unless you want two suits (maybe one for winter one for spring/summer?).

Gorgeous jacket! It fits you so well and looks amazing. The pants sound like a tougher decision, especially if the sizing is different than usual. I'd be nervous about having to order multiple sizes, but if it is THE suit it might be worth it. But first I want to see your taupe suit too!

Great jacket! I vote get the pants! It's worth it to have your perfect suit!

Thank you all, so much! So glad it meets the approval of the wise forum! And Angie, thank you especially for your assistance.

I hear you on the trousers. I will model the suit so all can see. I have to say, I am still tempted by the blue trousers because I do not own a pair of navy trousers at all and oh, how I would love a pair.

And the cut is completely different than those on the taupe suit. I hope to model that soon -- it might not be for a few days, however, due to work commitments. But I will do my best.

Angie, I am fully committed to that Club Monaco jacket, too. At least when my credit card recovers! I think a grey blazer would be a real workhorse for me as well. I might just watch it for sales. I suspect it may go on special even in my size, since that colour will not be super-popular (I predict.) And now that I have a couple of jackets, I don't need to pounce too quickly.

Sveta, you are so right. Sveta's referring to a case of buyer's remorse I confessed to her and Viva -- I had tried on the jacket yesterday and took pics and for some reason wasn't happy with what I saw (although I loved what I FELT.) Anyway -- all I needed was sleep to get that sorted out!

Oh - and Mr. Suz was completely delighted with the jacket.

The jacket IS perfect. That was a great buy!

Do you often wear full suits? I don't know if you'd feel like you get as much use from the pants as the jacket. I suppose they could be worn as separates though. But if you need a really great suit for work or something, it probably would make a perfect pair!

Lovely jacket, Suz! Great find, and well worth the wait.

Raisin, I don't often wear suits because I until the other day I didn't own a suit!!

I WOULD often wear a suit for my appearances. It's pretty much exactly what I need. I now have one (in taupe, soon to be modelled). But navy is my other main neutral. And they could be mixed and matched because the styles are quite different.

I would also (happily) wear a suit for going out to dinner with Mr. Suz. He completely understands my androgynous style gene and would not bat an eyelash if I chose that over a dress.

I would wear a suit when I travel -- theatre, dinner, galleries, and the like.

I would wear a suit when I attend business meetings in the city. Rare -- and absolutely not required -- but again -- a suit for me is probably like sweatpants for some other people. It's my "happy clothing."

Having said that, I would NOT wear a suit for my work-at-home life. I tend to wear jeans and knits in winter for that role, and shorts plus woven tops in summer. So it's not an item or combination that would get daily or even weekly wear in my life.

On the other hand, when I needed it, it would be there. Know what I mean? And I would certainly wear the pieces broken up. Navy pants with a sweater or a casual jacket? That's a no brainer.

(Yay, Mr. Suz).

Order the matching trousers to satisfy your curiosity more than anything else. It's worth the exercise. And keep that grey CM blazer on your radar.

Pictures can be deceiving Sweet Suz - don't worry your pretty little head about it. xo

I wish I would have seen the jacket on you and Viva in person, but my keister was planted at All Saints. It is gorgeous in the pictures and I think it looks better on you than the model. The pieces at Reiss really were exquisite.

The suit is spectacular on you - and I have the photos to prove it

I only have my phone but from what I can see this is THE perfect jacket. I love the white touches in this outfit. You've been wanting a suit, I say go for it. I think pants are easier to alter than jackets.

Perfection.

I vote give the pants a go - navy is so versatile.

Definitely scratch the itch and order the pants just so you don't have to wonder. The jacket is just wonderful on you. One of those pieces that just embodies the person (if I may be so bold as we have not yet met!). I will "patiently" wait for the suit reveal!

Shevia, that's exactly it. I put it on and felt immediately like "me." It was all I could do not to scrunch the sleeves (as I've done here) and start styling it my way....

So even when I got hit by a wave of temporary worry about it yesterday, I wasn't really worried. Because I'd had the "this is me" feeling when putting it on.

Viva felt the same thing.

I am so grateful to her. I left it -- we were going to come back after a little while to consider (at Angie's suggestion). But then Viva wanted to try hers just once more...she did...and then we went to find Angie, because we were just both so taken with these jackets all over again.

I know for a fact that you look amazing in this jacket, because I was there when you tried it on So glad that you and Viva went back to get them when you had a chance!

The stuff at Reiss was very beautiful and seemed to be very well made. I'll have to check them out again...when I have a better income

Yes, C1 -- it is crazy expensive. But so well made.

In the meantime, you can rely on the Rack for Theory!!

FANTABULOUS Suz
IGWYM about that brief twinge of 'did I spend X$?' BUT- when it is PPPP you know that you will forever be so happy that you bought, and the $value fades quicker than the mistake of poorly chosen multiples adding to the same amount do!

Yay! I loved that jacket on Viva and it looks equally perfect on you! I'm also a vote for ordering the pants just to see, if nothing else.

I am SO happy you found your suit and your jacket!!!!!!

BTW, Suz, add me to the chorus of people who took no notice of your pimple! More than anything else, I was struck by your amazingly good posture! I feel so slouchy in comparison

Love, love that jacket!!! I saw it online the other day and was drooling. So glad you and Viva have that little lovely in your closet. Yes, to the pants for all the reasons you expressed. You will kick yourself if you don't at least try them.
