WIW: Day 4 Dress Challenge - YouLookFab Forum

I have got to thank two ladies this morning - Ingunn, for starting the dress challenge which has reaffirmed my love of dresses and Angie, for getting me started on light coloured footwear starting with the python booties.

Today's outfit started with my abstract print wrap dress that is going on 4 years old now. Still love it and it's still in great condition. This was a good purchase. I've added a wide purple belt to the dress to accentuate my waist and pick up some of the purple tones in the dress. I tried a white belt first to pick up the white in the dress but it just seemed so stark against the print. For footwear, I popped on my bone laser cut oxfords. Can you believe this is the first time I've worn oxfords with a dress? I was inspired by Ingunn and Astrid who wear oxfords with skirts and dresses so beautifully.

Accessories consist of my white watch, silver wedding band and my white leather clutch.

I feel ready for the day, perfectly comfortable and stylish to boot - what do you think? does it all work together? As always, all comments/suggestions welcome.

This really is one of my favourite dresses, Shannon. I so love the colours and the pattern (a little abstract). Fabulous Summer outit with the bone oxfords (the laser cuts make it feel extra fresh) and that fab white clutch. I like the purple belt here also.

Your outfit today is no exception. The dress is really beautiful on you, and I think the accessories and shoes are perfect choices. I agree that a white belt would create a stark line that would contradict with the fluid pattern on the dress. Well done - again!

I think I say every dress of yours is my fave! But I do love this one, amd the oxfords look amazing with the dress. I hope you don't mind me saying, but I would like to see a belt about half the width of this one and in a bone tone similar to the shoes. I not suggesting this one doesn't work but to my eye it just looks a little heavy for the dress.
