Anyway, thanks so much for all this constructive criticism. I feared I was in for a kicking after that first comment. There may yet be a few tweaks to length and colour, but I'm encouraged to persevere with this style.
Tulle: that Riviera look is very appealing to me as well, but sadly I've never had much success with espadrilles. I think it might work with my white oxfords.
Jules: yes! there's a pair of chunky white sandals waiting in the wings for when the weather gets better.
Olivegreen: every day is a stomping day, which is probably why I'm prone to inappropriate footwear choices.
AM: thanks. Glad someone appreciated it. I'm not convinced it's 100% wrong either.
