April, the COLOR! The $99 pair was only available in my size in the taupe/grey and an experiment to see if I would really wear OTKs that often. Also they do slide a little more on me. I would not put up with their small foibles (stiff sole and ties, a bit narrow) if they were more expensive but for the look and test run, they were worth it.
So I am wearing these for the third time now (though not in a row). I want to get my money's worth out of them and have a long way to go - but do you think it's possible to wear something this statement-y too much?
