WIW: Blackwatch ankle pants...

This may break Angie's fainting streak. I love these plaid pants from Zara (thanks to MNsara for pointing them out to me!) and you've already seen the matching blazer. Unfortunately it's boot weather here, so I tried pairing them with my Harley boots for a Beatles kind of look. Not sure it worked or if this silhouette is best for an IT, but it's comfy and I love the blackwatch!

I love this Una! I think the length of the ankle pants works because you've essentially elongated the leg line with the addition of the boots.The drapey top is beautiful with these trousers.

Will you wear the blazer and trousers as a full on Blackwatch suit? I bet that would ROCK!

I second Shannon and Suz and think the boots work to elongate the leg, even without PPL. And I like the way you styled it with the sloughy/drapey sweater.

Eh, they look too short and not really cropped. I think it would look more intentional if there was a smidge of skin showing. But it's probably too cold for that.

Eep eep eep! I really like! I saw "black watch" and made a beeline to this thread, lol. And now I learn it's a whole suit and I'm swooning!

I hear Anna on the pant length, but I'm also having a punk (post punk, new wave, mod-ska, whatever that freeking era was, ok?!) fashion flashback. I like the off length.

Now, the outfit. Two strong pieces + boots, I love that on you. YLF and IMO this can be FFBO.

I really love these pants on you! Shannon and Angie are onto something..the booties bookend your hair *and* they somehow elongate your leg line so that they don't really look like "cropped" pants. The overall effect of your ankle pants with booties styling has totally remedied the usual leg-chopping effect of 'short' pants.

I think you may have found the perfect trick to successfully wearing cropped pants!!! I can't believe it, but you've done it

Did someone say black watch? I love black watch (and white watch, but who's counting). Love your modern sweater with the classic plaid. And the boots are perfect with them too. Perfect, whatever genre you are invoking!
