This is for Lisap, as I am her tonal and attitudinal opposite today. To her multi-shades-of-grey maximal look, I am in navy and black minimalism. I am dressed for comfort (with style, I hope) and for travel after a day's work, although since I am now readying for the evening flight (Detroit to San Diego) I have swapped out my Reiss jacket for Lululemon gear.
AG Nikkis
Adidas running shoes
JCrew black Tippi sweater
Reiss ink blazer
New black vegan travel tote bought on Bainbridge Island (Seattle), which I LOVE. Big enough for my Air, files, Nook, and personal items, without looking business-y. Because you know I'm not all business. It also has a detachable zippered insert that can be worn with the tote's shoulder strap, as an instant little crossbody bag, negating the need to pack a purse. LOVE that.
Finally, I thought I'd add a photo inspiration. Although I did not think of her when I dressed, these 1997 photos of Princess Diana are to me THE reason blondes should wear ink, and also, to me, her most beautiful moments. I held on to this issue of Vanity Fair for years because I could not stop looking at her.
PS Lisap, in addition to Women in Clothes, I started reading The Paying Guests, which I just downloaded from Barnes & Noble.
