You and I are body twins and your post totally resonated with me!

First, you are too hard on yourself!! This is a perfect casual outfit and the proportions are spot on to my eye. The high waist thing can wreak havoc with simple tops and pants...hard to work with but you nailed it.

The shoes...I recently purged an expensive pair of similar sandals for the same reason: worn once a year despite being comfortable and good looking. BUT I learned a lot from that expensive mistake and someone else will use them so it's all good

The crossbody bag and the boobs...I too struggle with this look and think that's all anyone can see coming, even though it's all in my head because I do not see that with you So I have decided to wear my crossbody bags with jackets and coats only, and switch to small wristlets in the summer if I don't want a handbag over my shoulder.

I have learned from YLF how helpful photos can be, even if no one else sees them but you!

I think you look great! The gray and white together are especially nice with your blonde hair, and I like how the shoes add interest, although, if you're really thinking it's time to purge, it's certainly better to get rid of them than just have them sit there.

I also have larger breasts and a high waist, so I had to laugh at "one false move away from looking dumpy." I shamelessly wear cross-body bags, though, because they're so convenient I just deal with the potential awkwardness. And my pictures are usually just phone selfies with less-than-great lighting (I know way better than to drag my husband into this), so you're doing way better than I am there!

Lisa!!! How fun to see your WIW this morning!

First things first. You are gorgeous. Your hair! Your style! That top: OMG -- LOVE.

Second. Photos get easier, they really do. (I was notoriously anti-photo, to the point DDs used to worry about me -- seriously, it was my only negative body-image issue -- and now, thanks to YLF and lots of picture posting, I am much more relaxed about it.) Use a tripod or take pics of yourself until DH gets it, and he just might, after a while.

Third, if you are over the Fly Londons (which I actually think are adorable) let them go, no matter how comfy they are. But it does seem like you might have some very happy takers at YLF!

Fourth, Deborah is so smart about the cross-body! I wear mine in front, which is probably why it works better. But also, I have barely any breasts at all. Probably also a factor.

Please don't shy away from WIWs. It's so great to see you.

xx

Ditto, ditto,ditto, ditto.
ie: GREAT to see you, you are gorgeous, I also avoid cross body bags, but do wear one everyonce in a while, on my front hip so the strap doesn't pull, love the shoes, swap the laces, love the shirt, love the outfit.

I think Ceit once said she made a hole in a cardboard box that she can put her iphone in to take timer shots. I use a camera on a tripod - the idea of asking anyone else to do it... don't think so!

Please post more!

(Kinda wishing you were an 8.5/9... )

Cut yourself some slack girlfriend - you look fab! First things - I adore your hair! Such a fabulous and flattering cut.

My camera has a timer and I found both an indoor and an outdoor location where I can just rest the camera, click the timer and take my own pic. Like you, I'm much more relaxed that way.

I think your bookending here works very well. I too have owned Fly London footwear and they are beyond comfortable. I love the look of these but am wondering if you change the laces to something that matches the color of the shoe more, if they will work better for you?

It takes a while to get comfortable with taking your pic and posting it. Give it some time, be patient, and enjoy the process
