Just browsing amongst items that might be in line with other things that are working well--lighter-weight jackets and boxier sweaters.

This EF waxed cotton moto is interesting to me because my leather jacket "window" of wear is not as long as in some colder climates, and harder to carry off indoors, so I'm appreciating lighter jackets that work more year-round, even if require layering in winter. It caught my eye on Garnet Hill, whose photo looks a lot different from Nordie's, both re: texture and fit (shown as a Find). I was interested in the "soft black" and possibly more luminous properties than flat black fabrics, but perhaps it does not read as much that way and is just the photo shoot lighting, plus it looks way more boxy in the Find.

Anyone have experience with this type of fabric or seen IRL in store ? The "wash before wearing" (due to color transfer) warnings are somewhat off-putting for an item like this.

Next, I'm feeling sweaters this year need to be generous and boxy ,and I love several colors this one comes in (there is a berry, teal, and blush pink and others) , but I suspect the oversize + the boatneck will overwhelm, based on photo, as it won't really work for me as an off-the-shoulder item or gappy neckline fit. If shipping return were free I might stalk. Why can't everyone do that like Nordstrom's! Probably just as well since this type of fit would not have the longevity of a more fluid-tailored fit.

Feel free to chime in if you've seen either of these or have ideas.
