Forever 21 has a slew of them.

Try http://www.shopstyle.com and type in waistcoat or vest. You will bring up a lot. But I share your frustration because this is one item I really need to try on first (vests are difficult to tailor - it looks like a simple garment to sew, but it's actually quite tricky, making alterations quite tricky). I have been looking for a white summery vest, and have had little luck. And I have checked F21 twice this summer - all the vests have disappeared.

I imagine (hope) there will be better selection in the fall?

I just remembered that awhile back (beginning of summer) Bebe had a lot of nice vests. I don't normally shop there, but I went in to "leave no retail stone unturned." I recall they fit me well too. So I just checked again and they have a lot of interesting options:

Shiny, did you try the white one's at ATL? Ours had a couple on clearance. Fit wasn't rigth for me though.

Thanks for these suggestions! I am going to try both Old Navy versions because those prices cannot be beat.

I did go back to the F21 site and saw many vests, then remembered the problem: no small sizes left in any of the ones that interest me.

I also love the lace one from Urban Outfitters that Angie included in yesterday's blog post. Gorgeous. May have to stalk that one...

April, I got one from Old Navy 2 or 3 years ago and still wear it a lot. :)

H&M has a bunch of vests in a variety of colors, and from what I remember their vests are sized numerically (by dress size) rather than S-M-L, so you might have better luck finding one that is small enough than at F21.

I got mine at H&M. I think a 32 would fit you but it might be hard to find. I almost never find 32's here.

JG, I did, and there was something ever so slightly "off" about the fit, so I passed it up too.

I was also going to suggest H&M. And Esprit - I saw a bunch in their online outlet store the other day. Although their stuff might be more casual than what you're looking for.

Oh, thanks for this - I was going to post the same question. A month or so ago I tried on all different styles at H&M and Ann Taylor Loft - none of them fit right. Great to have some more ideas!
