Who else here uses pinterest?

Pinterest is my favorite website pretty much. Other than being able to pin cute animals you can pin fashion you like, which has given me outfit and style ideas. If you haven't joined pinterest you should. It takes a while to get an account since you have to be invited by a friend or request an invite, but its so worth it! Its so fun.

Abolutely LOVE Pinterest. Clarissa, I'd love to follow you. Below is my Pinterest site - I'm not sure how to follow someone without going through Pinterest - I'm sure there is a way, I just don't know how to do it. There are already several women on YLF who are also on Pinterest and as far as I know, we are all following each other!

I love Pinterest and browse every morning while I sip my tea! I've found that "pinning" has really helped me define my personal style. I just started a new board "Fall 2012 Wish List" to collect ideas about what I want to wear in the upcoming new season.

I quickly became addicted to pinterest - such a stressfree tool.
My computer time has cut back to just minutes a day so my boards aren't growing so fast anymore though

Love Pinterest. I haven't joined because you MUST have a Facebook account, which I refuse to do on principle. But when I am looking for color combination inspiration and validation, I search the site. Some great recipes with photos, too, which has been very useful.

I enjoy Pinterest; it has become the perfect place for me to collect recipes from various sites and blogs. I used to copy them to Word docs and print them out and save them in a 3-ring binder, but I don't always make everything I see. This allows me to collect them by photo, with links to the original source, and when I am preparing my weekly shopping list for my weekend cooking, I can thumb through and see what will work.

I also really enjoy following Angie's pins. I like seeing particular items that are catching her eye, or silhouettes and/or outfits she is coveting. She always has an eye looking forward into what is coming!

ETA: I also refuse to sign up for FB, so went the Twitter route like Elle, and never use Twitter.

Claudia - They allow signing up with a twitter account too, as an alternative to facebook. I don't actually use twitter, but I made an account there ages ago to check it out, so I used that for pinterest - didn't want to link it to my 'real self' on fb (and have since deactivated my fb anyway...).

Edit: They now appear to have an option to sign up using your email address, without twitter or fb:

Was going to say I don't sign in with FB (made that mistake once, and my uncle wanted to know if I'd gone on a shopping bender, lol).

Love Pinterest. I sublimate shopping impulses with it. I don't go back and look often enough at what I've chosen tho. To glean the gestalt.

I use it a lot to play around with ideas I get - like color combos, etc.

I get a lot of ideas from Pinterest, but when I tried to join I found out you need facebook or a twitter account...I have neither and I'm not getting.

I would love to use pinterest, but I don't want everything I pin showing up on Facebook. Is there a way to keep pinterest from sharing what you pin?

I just joined using my email address. There is a spot on the profile page to not upload to facebook and not upload to twitter, oh and to not make your pins public or something like that. It's an off/on choice you click on. so far, I don't see any of my (all 3 lol) pins showing on Facebook.
