Hey, can I throw in another question? Do you like #3 at all? Is it a keep or a return? (Still has the tags on, as does #1).

#2 - hands down. No competition. Funky and arty, but still tailored and serious. PERFECT.

I love all of them, Laura. The last one is really cool. I just like the combination of outfit two for the event. VERY arty and funky.

I'm going for 2 but it was a tough choice between that and 3 x

I am also going to vote for number 2. I have to admit that I was one of the naysayers (maybe the only naysayer) when you first posted that sack dress way back when but I have really loved the ways in which you have styled it - especially this! I like number three but it needs something (not sure what) to add some edge. Have you tried it with your moto vest?

Wow, I'm impressed by how unanimous this is! I looked at the photos before seeing others' comments, and I also thought #2 was the clear winner.

Without looking at anyone else's response, I veto the third outfit. The other two are both stunning but the second one is a cut above, i think. The military jacket is a knockout.

Oh, it's so nice to have a clear winner, unlike the infamous drapey purple top (and Loulou's trench!!).

Kristen, the reading is at 7 pm on Tues., Oct. 6, upstairs at the Hopleaf. Three other writers will be reading too. Come and have some Belgian beer, mussels and frites with us!

#3 was uncovered at Macy's dress dept. for a fab price. Angie is sooo right about Macy's dress dept. You have to look around a lot, but there's good stuff there. My other dress destination is Max Studio. They have a huge range of dresses!

I just want to clarify that I like the third dress but I just saw it after fabulous #2 and it paled in comparison. And I'm biased in favor of the tweed one :)

Regarding accessories, I read somewhere that if you are doing a reading, it is good to wear some type of finger-ring since your audience will be spending a long time looking at your hands. I'll dig up the link if I can remember which blog it was.

I love #2. Second runner up for me is #3! Where is this bar located? And when? :)
