Which bag works best with this cape?

Hi All,

I bought this cape this past summer in Scotland.
I have never owned a cape, I was just drawn to this one.

Since finding this site(yeah!) I am more committed than ever to updating my look to something a bit more personal/polished .
I can wear classic clothes till the cows come home. But I am trying to mix things up a bit and get some color into my wardrobe.

I like this black bag, it is rubber-recycled from truck tires and a new texture,
I think the size works well.

I know red is great with black and white . It would bring some color to the outfit,not one of my strengths. I often wear tone on tone outfits. I do prefer things to be subtle.
So is the red bag a good size for the cape or a little big?
I think the strap has to stay short or I will end up wrapping myself up into a knot.

LOVE the red bag with this outfit, Kellee! The black bag is nice too, but the red works well with the cape.

I like the red. Both bags are nice but the all black is something I'm starting to notice as very heavy since joining YLF.
I love that cape. It looks so cozy.

I like the red with the cape. There's the pop of color thing. But it also looks like the handles are intended to be held in your hand as opposed to over the shoulder, making it a more logistically appropriate choice.

Cape question aside, I think the black bag is very beautiful.

Red, red, red -- it just popped off the screen, and as Alecia noted, the thicker handles really worked with the way you are holding it.

The black was fine, but the red was killer! I also do like the cape with the boots very much.

The red one is absolutely amazing with the cape. I like the black bag too, but the red has much more impact with the plaid. Cool cape by the way, I love the way you are wearing it with boots and skinnies.

As usual ,thanks for all your great feedback.
I love the red bag with the cape.

I am still looking for black skinny jeans
for curvy gals.
I am going to Express to try the Mia(?) black skinny jeans.
The pair I had on it this picture(Earl) went back to Macys.
They passed the sitting test but not the bending
over test , I was not aware of until I was (thankfully) informed
about from Shiny. I felt a chill on my back side with that one

Kellee - I bought a pair of DKNY black skinny leg jeans (on sale at Macys!) I find that brand tends to have a slightly higher rise, which I need. The tag says "slightly low rise" but they fit me like a higher mid-rise. I still have the tags on because I haven't fully committed to this look yet!

Hi Kellee, I always like the look of a red bag with black and white, so I think the red is a keeper. However, I'm wondering where you found the black bag. I don't buy leather, so the idea of a cool new bag made of recycled material is really appealing to me!
