I buy fabric online a lot, but am sometimes disappointed by color, texture, weight, which are very difficult to assess online. Emma Onesock does the best job of accurate photos and descriptions, in my opinion.
We sewers are also paying the price of cheap, fast fashion coming from 3rd world countries. That awful knit fabric you see in ready-made T shirts is increasingly what is offered to the sewing public. When the fabric is already pilling when it is still on the bolt, that kind of says it all. Sorry for the rant ...
