What to wear underneath a sheer blouse?

Hello, I have been thinking about buying a long-sleeve white blouse, and it turns out most of them are sheer. And I am not sure what I should wear underneath them, so I haven't bought any. Better a tight or loose camisole? Better nude or white? Tank-top or long sleeve (I'd prefer long sleeve for warmth? What do you think?

I've found Angie's advice to wear white under white to be great - it makes my sheer and opaque whites alike appear crisper and brighter.

I'm with Kari on that one. I'd add that if you are wearing a cami that might not cover your bra straps, a nude bra is still advisable.

You can totally do long sleeves under a white blouse if it is comfortable for you, though. I think a fitted layer underneath would be best.

I just wanted to add some info about "grinning garments" when blouses are sheer. The length of the cami, and the color contrast of the bottoms are also a consideration.
