Q&A about individual items, ensembles, and wardrobe

What to wear: shoes - traveling to italy

Hi all,

I'm traveling to Italy for the first time for a wedding! We will be mainly in Rome and Sicily in July - I know it's going to be seriously hot! We'll do a few days of sightseeing, but mostly we will hang out in small towns. (I'll do a sep post for dresses!)

I need ideas of hot-weather walkable shoes that would go with casual dresses, skirts and walking shorts. I have wide feet that like to breathe. Any ideas of where to start would be great. I'm 27 and my style is mostly classic, feminine, funky, colorful, and natural if that's possible :)

Hi and Welcome!
Your upcoming vacation sounds great.
I don't own a pair myself but quite a few ladies on the forum (including Angie herself) own these shoes and swear by them:

I sort of have the same question as you! Do you own any Converse? I think I remember that converse are popular in Europe.

If they are super comfy on your feet, might they work?

You may want to do a search on Angie's search feature. This question has been asked and answered a couple of times, and you might find some great tips in those posts.

I got a pair of BOC Reanna gold/bronze sandals at Famous Footwear (NOT my regular shoe store, LOL), and I wore them every day on my trip to Tucson last week. They held up great, and they went with everything -- day dresses, shorts, jeans, all of it.
