What I wore - my first day out in my new wardrobe!

Turquoise tunic sweater - New York & Co.
Black leggings - Wal-mart (yeah, yeah, I know, but they're actually really thick and nice and organic cotton)
cuff - Express
necklace - my great grandma (yeah, not sure I'm actually going to wear this to McDonald's with the kids - but I think I want something kind of like it, except maybe darker and less priceless.)

Oh, and I realized as soon as I put all the coats back on the hall tree (our only full-length mirror) that I forgot to put my lipstick on before I took the pictures - but I'm definitely wearing it - I'm going all out contacts, flat-ironed my hair, makeup the whole works!

Well now! Looks like you're having fun. That's the whole point and I love it. That necklace is to die for. Amazing. I love the idea of this outfit, though I wonder if the tunic might need to be a touch longer for leggings. Could be the way you have to lift your arm for the picture, though, too.

The sweater is a beautiful color and style on you! It seems short though. No skirt that can go over the leggings? I just picture all the bending over with having little ones and all.

Same thoughts as the others. Beautiful colored tunic, fantastic necklace, nice boots and leggings, but the tunic looks too short on its own. It looks too much like leggings-as-pants. Maybe add a little denim skirt?

I've seen a few outfits of you now, and I just have to say that you are made for knee-high boots, wow!
And this is such a versatile tunic, it will look amazing over skinny jeans as well.

Thanks guys! If I weren't so afraid of breaking that necklace, I think I would wear it constantly. I've been looking for a clone on etsy and I think I'm going to have to learn to crochet beads because they're just $$$ (I'm sure there's a lot of time involved). If my great grandma hadn't made it, I think I'd risk it a little more often.

Dusty - you have an adorable figure and your new outfit is fab. That blue is a very nice color on you.

I'd also love to see the tunic worn with a skinny skirt and boots. Then you could also wear it with skinnies (like the first day outfit in Tanya's recent WIW post). You'd look great in skinnies tucked into boots!
