what do you think of this jacket?

I do not think it's too frilly, especially if most of your pieces are classic. As for the color, I would not wear it with another green item, but I would with blue shades.

Cute jacket! Even if you tend toward classic, that doesn't mean you can't throw a little funky into your wardrobe now and then. Great price! Go for it!

Taffy, it's a very cute jacket and the styling is nice, not overly frilly, but as Tanya mentioned it wouldn't work with green tops, I would be concerned that you wouldn't get much use out of the jacket if you have quite a few green tops. Is this going to be your only jacket or can you change to another one when you wear your green tops?

Angie-- you caught me... I was thinking autumn, and after reading your comment I realized that it does look like a spring-ish shade. It honestly never occurred to me that you might have different ones for different seasons!!! :))

Well, this is a tricky one. It’s not the colour of an item that makes it Autumn, it’s the integrity of the entire garment.(An emerald green TWEED jacket is great for Autumn).

The white stitching on that type of fabric (a cool cotton canvas) is Spring-like. But if the same trench was in a burnt orange with brown stitching and brown tortoise shell bottoms, it would look Autumn appropriate. Does that make sense?

Does that jacket have a balloon bottom? Or is it just the gathering in the pockets that makes it look that way?

I ask, because if it is a balloon bottom--I'd be afraid of it being out of style in a season or two. If you don't mind having a trendy piece, then no problem.
