What about Yoga pants on Thanksgiving?

In recent fashion trend, I have been seen a lot of retail yoga clothing shops are panning to launch new yoga pant designs. Lululemon, Onzie, Alanic, Fabletics and many in the row have launched the new fashion yoga pants. Even celebrities are following the same trend.

I am planning wear a new one this Thanksgiving. What you think?? Which of them will go best. please suggest..... quickly

I am all for comfort on Thanksgiving Day -- so a fun pair of yoga pants could be the way to go for you, especially if your celebration is on the casual side. I would be tempted to wear a fun print bottom with a solid tunic top -- something like the Onzie Peacock Print Legging -- but that is in keeping with my own style. The choice is a personal one and you should go with what suits you best. There are lots of fabulous choices on the websites you list. Enjoy your holiday!

I am on board with the idea of yoga pants at Thanksgiving. I like the idea of full length (not cropped) and some special design (not black). El Cee provided an excellent example of what I was thinking. I considered the cutouts and mesh, but I think a solid fabric with no cuts might be best. I myself will be wearing ponte pants which is kinda like a legging.

I also have a Lululemon pair of yoga pants, and the quality is great.

ETA: personally, I think yoga pants are best left for yoga practice.

I say go for the comfort and strech.

I'm pretty biased against yoga pants for anything aside actual yoga, working out or lounging at home. That said, if your day is super casual and lounge like, go for it!

Why not! They are comfortable and will give you plenty of room for that extra pie of pie. Plus some of the patterned ones are totally fun. I like the Lululemon black/gray patterned ones but that's me (the queen of black & gray).

There are so many other kinds of pants that are as comfortable as yoga pants but are dressier, so that's where my mind goes.

For example, today I'll be wearing a pair of sleek black NYDJ ponte pants, black heeled Aquatalia booties, and my plaid Smythe equestrian jacket. Polished, but every bit as cozy as yoga pants:)

I'll be wearing two different outfits today -- it's a given that I will be covered in flour and bits of mashed potato. Really, I should get myself a nice apron! For eating and going to my traditional Thanksgiving moving, I'm still undecided. It might be thick leopard print leggings under a red swingy dress with boots and a grey topper!

I personally have zero desire to wear yoga pants for a festive gathering. I'll wear my workout gear to run errands or work at home, before an actual workout, but I have so many other nice things I'd rather wear for a special holiday that are plenty comfortable. I welcome the opportunity to dress up a little if I'm not cooking, or wear a great apron if I am.

You do you. If you enjoy the day best clad in torn sackcloth, or out in the woods in tactical gear, or a ball gown, it's all good if it makes you happy and doesn't endanger life or limb.

In my loungewear wardrobe, there are items I think of as festive, because every $£€%! day we're alive there's something worth celebrating. So without reaching for yoga pants, which are indeed loungewear essentials for me, I can come up with 3-4 holiday-presentable homewear ensembles. (Thanks to YLF, and some experimentation over the last few weeks, I can even maximize accessories that work with them!)

Today I'm hosting non-thanksgiving open house, with friends stopping by before, between, and/or after their main obligations. "OK to come with morning hair?" was one of the first texts I received this morning. Yes, it's that casual, a carefree way-station amidst hectic, so I'm wearing loungewear. Not yoga pants, though.
