Wedding Photos (long)

Forgive me if this post is a bit indulgent- my sister's wedding was just this past weekend and considering what a big role fashion had to play, I thought it would be fun to share some pics that were taken. I may get a little overzealous in the number of photos I post, but I promise I'm limiting myself just to the fashion stuff! We're all still kind of buzzing with the excitement while my sister and new brother-in-law are on honeymoon.
First of all, the rehearsal dinner. My sister's wedding colours were green, pink, and black, so we all tried to dress within that theme:

I'm not happy with how I looked from the neck up because I'd spent a long day running after kids and sweating then drove over an hour straight to the dinner- no time for hair and makeup! Oh well. Here's a better look at the outfit:

Now the wedding itself (yay!)- here's a peek at the beautiful bride and groom:

Her dress was stunning- here's a look at the back:

Part of the bridal party (we all agreed on black, knee-length dresses, but chose our own styles- we did all shop together):

All the bridesmaids and maid of honour (aren't the bouquets lovely?):

The full bridal party, complete with bride and flower girls. I've blocked out the girls' faces but I just wanted you to see how cute it was that they were like mini-brides, with the tiaras and same hairstyle and similar dresses:

The groomsmen, in sand vests, ties and pocket squares to complement the bride's sand accents on her dress:

And my dancing partner and I!:

You can't really tell there, but my sister gave us all Swarovski droplet earrings to wear, which were lovely.
We all had SO much fun, and the wedding was beautiful. My sister put so much hard work into planning right down to little details like a candy bar and a flip-flop box for those with tired feet- it all really paid off because it was amazing. Now while she's on vacation we're putting together a scrapbook with all these photos- fun!

Yeah! I think it's neat too- plus to do them in black would be a little less interesting. You can see how nicely it all complements each other in this pic:

The flower girls even had little sand-coloured sashes on their dresses.
P.S. In that photo you can see a little bit of the candy bar! Yaaa!

Yes! It was just what it sounds like- a table full of jars and jars of candy. Just to share the joy of that, let me upload a photo of that as well (clearly not fashion-related, but still a thing of beauty).

It was demolished within the first half of the cocktail hour. Fortunately we had refills!

I officially love that idea :) thanks for the pic - i saved it to my wedding folder. i'm getting married in about a year and a half, so i'm still in the info-gathering stage.

What a beautiful event, Lannie. I *love* the outfit you wore to the rehearsal dinner. That style is *so* flattering on you. The scrapbook will be a gift your sister will cherish.

First of all, you look fab in the green dress and the bridesmaid dress. That style (the black) is really flattering on you and your hair is gorgeous. I think that your sister's dress is one of the prettiest I have ever seen.

Beautiful! You look fabulous! I love your bridesmaid dress. I like that each of the bridesmaids chose a different style of dress. It makes perfect sense.

Your RD outfit was gorgeous! Well done and I’m glad you had a super time. Thanks for sharing these special moments :-)
