Wardrobe orphans (jackets) - Keep or Donate?

Please bear with me, as I have finally summed up the strength to face my closet. The following jackets are all items that I have not worn in the past couple of years - mainly because I am no longer working in an office environment. I realize that some of them however, might work with jeans, etc. - but some of them are soooo old! Honest opinions please!

Pic#1 - I've never felt good in this - needs a hook 'n eye fastener (I think!) at waist

Pic#2 - something I came home with from a Clothes Exchange probably 5 years ago - no idea how old it is - Ann Taylor
Also, what about these shoes? They are BCBGs - at least 10 years old - ditch em?

Pic#3 - Dark Gray - has frayed fringe on collar and cuffs
Also, what about these shoes? Super round toe, with a shiny, skinny silver heel - ditch em?

Pics #4 and 5 - You can't tell very well from the pic, but it is pink and ivory striped with a ribbon type trim.

Pic#6 - Nubby Pink Chanelesque

I was on a pink binge about 10 years ago! Don't know if it works for me now or not!

I like #3 a lot, and I LOVE those shoes!

I don't think the others are doing you any favors, though. You're so gorgeous in everything, but I've seen tons of pieces that look fabber than these.

1 - looks good to me in the picture, but if you don't like it then don't keep it!

2 - toss the jacket and the shoes (the heel is dated)

3 - toss the jacket, keep the shoes (if you will wear them)

4, 5, 6 - I think they all work, but again, if you aren't going to wear them then don't keep them. I think you could use them in outfits with some edge, and they would look great!

I think #2 has a potential as a BF jacket: it is hard to tell how long it is and I am not an expert on BF jackets anyway. None of others speaks to me at all:
#1 - too frilly;
#3 - a weird placement of pockets and fastener;
#4-5 - I don't like the color on you and the style does not excite me either;
#6 - looks dated to me
Shoes is my weakest point as I am trying to figure them out myself but I think shoes in #2 are a nice basic if you can wear that heel height.

I love #1 but if it's not your style, then it should probably go. #2 and #3 are so-so, I've a feeling you can do better. #4/5's sleeves are too short so I say go. I love #6, but it seems in similar style to #1 so perhaps it's not your style?

As for shoes, I say pass on #2 and keep on #3 (love these!)

I like the shoes in 3 and the jacket in 4-5 a lot. The rest is not awful but not (in my opinion) up to the standards of your fabulous style! My second-favorite jacket is the one in 3, and my least favorites are 1 and 2.

Please please toss jacket #2. I like the shoes in #3. I surprisingly kinda like jacket #6.

It can be so much fun cleaning out a closet. Sometimes you find new outfits that you didn't think of before!
I have to disagree with many of the posts here but here is my humble opinion.
#1- I think it looks nice on you but the fringe makes it seem dated. I would get rid of it.
#2- Unlike many of the others who think this is a definite no and even begged you to get rid of it, I like it. I think it looks very clean and classic. Add a scarf or a group of necklaces and it can even be fun! However, if you don't work in an office environment and won't have the opportunity to wear something like this then maybe you should get rid of it.
#3- There is something about the closure that seems odd. I would like it better if it had buttons. I'm also not sure about the fringe- its hard to see in the photo. It does have some style to it though. I am on the fence on this one.
#4-#6 - I again have to disagree here. The color doesn't bring out your face and fades your coloring. I also think the length of the jackets is a little too short which makes them seem dated.
I can't decide on the shoe either. I like the shoe but I also agree that the heel looks dated. Maybe a better way to decide is to determine how often you wear them and if its not often then maybe you should get rid of them. If they are 10 years old and they still look that good, you probably didn't wear them that often and most likely won't in the future (Of course once you get rid of them they will be the shoes that will go perfect with an outfit in a few months if only you had kept them).

Without reading the other replies, I like #1 the best followede by #4. The others look quite pastel in the photos and make you look washed out. It may just be the photos or my monitor. I like the styles of the last two pink jackets. Maybe if you wear a darker or brighter color near your face you can make them work. I'd get rid of #2.

I think these are all flattering, but for the sake of keeping hip and current, I would possibly toss 1and 2. I'd like to see #3 opened. I think it has potential, it jsut need to be relaxed a bit.

After seeing all of your more current looks (the patterned jumpsuit! the edgy rocker-ish looks!) none of these seems like you anymore. Maybe your style has evolved? Especially since you mention that you haven't worn them in a few years... Re. the shoes: I think the black round-toe pumps with the silver heel don't seem dated, but the others do a bit.

Yeh - Jonesy - I think you hit the nail on the head. I haven't worn these in years - and even if I were to end up working back in an office environment, I doubt that I would dress like this anymore! I think I'm taking them to the thrift store - or maybe I should save them for the YLF clothes exchange!!!!

I like the jacket in #6 and the shoes in #3. #6 is on trend too so it may get some use.

Both the jacket and shoes in #2 look dated. Toss.

The other jackets are fine if you will wear them but they don't particularly stand out.

Hmm I vote:
#1-toss, a very classic look and I really enjoy your trendy-er style
#2-and #3-very boxy and again classic to almost boring style, toss.
#4 and #5 and #6-very pretty but again a bit classic on you.

I feel like your style is more textured and trendy than these pieces. Plus if you haven't worn them in over a year, why keep them. Obviously there are more fab items in your closet.
