I've decided as part of my SYC adventure to actually take pics of all of my individual wardrobe items, including clothing, footwear, handbags, and belts. I'm not sure yet about accessories. This is so I can be sure of what I have, that I'm wearing all of my items, and have visual aids to assist in making different combinations.

I've searched on the web and found a few different programs that can help me with this and Homy Fads (http://homyfads.sunlitgreen.com/) kind of interests me. I don't have an iPhone so I need something I can use on my PC.

Has anybody ever used this program? anybody know anything about it?

No, but I used http://www.closetcouture.com. I also don't have a smart puone. Haven't been good about keeping up with my catalog lately. Maybe I'll join you in updating. It's work to get all the pics loaded.

I want to do this someday soon too. I have an app on my iPad called Wardrobe plus, but I haven't checked it out yet. I'll be looking for your update to see how you do.

I have been looking for something like that, too. So far, I have found ICONIQ, Dress Assistant, Closet Couture, Wardrobe Planner, and 1-800-Style. Anyone used any of these? Like Transcona Shannon, I would like something PC-based -- not keen on sharing my closet publicly online.

I have an android phone too & I've tried several apps without success - it's the only thing that makes me want an iphone. HomyFads looks interesting - I'll check it out.

Can I confess that the thing that moved me from being an avid Blackberry User to the Iphone was actually the YLF App and the other cool wardrobe apps, etc that are available. I am sure there are some good apps for the pc though.

I've used closetcouture in the past but kind of gave up. I don't know about on PCs, but the photo editing on there was so slow, and for whatever reason they do not allow you to delete albums of outfits you created.

I'm thinking of doing this again, but I may just use Pinterest as a tool to keep track.

I think Ingunn uses Evernote to organize her wardrobe - her post from yesterday about her Banana Republic capsules has a link to one of her Evernote pages. I have to admit that after I saw it, I considered using Evernote as a way to organize my wardrobe....

This is a dumb question, but, Lyn, how do you put your photos in Pinterest? Do you only use photos from the retail sites or can you add your own?

I know it's not PC based, but I use iPhone's stylebook app. LOVE IT.

I've now catalogued my (extensive) wardrobe including scarves & shoes. I also use the calendar feature to keep track of the outfit(s) that I wear each day, and I can even see the CPW of each item. Very useful and I'm a total addict.

Ugh, I started doing this but gave up. It's hard to take a good picture of your clothes!
Try taking a normal picture of a pair of pants!?!

Modgirl, I finally put on my pants and stood in front of a white wall to get a semblance of 'normal' - laying them flat or hanging them certainly didn't work! It is a lot of work to catalog.
