Thank you guys for all of the positive feedback on the cakepops. I am humbled and encouraged. I really love making them and I am excited about moving forward with it.
Angie, thank you so much. Well, the business idea about creating a company specializing in event decoration for smaller events, was on my mind for a long time, but I stumbled upon these cakepops. One day I came home sick and I had just bought a kitchen aid mixer, so I took off baking and ended up with some sort of cakepop that looked like a frankenstein. I then went online and looked into cakepops. OMG, I got jealous, how come mine look like mutants? I then experimented until they started looking edible. Fast forward to a couple months later, I took them to work for a retirement party, my boss saw them and came running to me saying that I had to go to the kitchen and get me a cakepop. I then told him "Well, I made them". He just got excited, told me that a friend of his volunteers for a non-profit that helps start up companies in the food business and that I MUST contact them. So, I went. I am currently working with them to see about the best business strategy etc. They need for me to be a legal entity in order to help, so I finally became an LLC, a couple weeks ago. We'll see what happens. I went to art school but I could not finish, so these give me a little bit of an outlet. I treat them like little sculptures. I also enjoy photographing them, so I revived my interest in photography.
Little Zap is doing well. Loving every bit of NYU. The commute is easier than the commute to high school and she seems to be making friends and building a network.
Thank you all for the kind words and I hope to be able to be more active here !
