Two new dresses!

From pre-SYC, of course. One is the Trina Turk dress, which I love, and the other is a $10 London Times dress which my mom got me at J.C. Penney while we were out Christmas shopping. I am glad to have a couple of brighter items in my wardrobe. Any thoughts on styling, or do they pretty much speak for themselves?

AAAAAHHHH! I love the peacock dress! This is the first time I've seen it. It is incredible. You do it perfectly and I can't think of any way to do it differently. You will have so much fun with it! You have really got this dress thing down pat with the lengths and cuts you choose.

I love you in color, and these dresses are both especially fun. I can't believe that second dress was only $10!

Both are beautiful on you. I can see why you enjoy color in your warderobe.
The second one is awesome with your dark hair then the splash of great color, then the bottom of the dress being dark like your hair. Somehow that just works, and I love that bright fuschia/pink on you.
The first dress is equally as gorgeous. I love your nude shoes. They look like the perfect shade to blend like nude shoes should. It seems to me that with your dark hair and the lighter shades of color in the dress, darker shoes would be more balanced, especially for winter.

On second thought, maybe your new cognac Frye's and just the right cardi or jacket would give the right weight anchor. Ofcourse no matter what you do it's a winning dress for you.

You don't need to accessorize much - keep jewelry simple.

Now you know why I love to shop at JCP.....

I really love the Tina Turk dress. The other dress pales in comparison, but for only $10 it works.

The Tina Turk dress hits above the knee, with the sack like style you need to see more leg. It's how I had hoped the green See by Chloe dress would fit me. The second dress hits at the knee and I almost want to whack an inch or two off it.

Love the bright colors! I think they look great as-is or worn with warmer layers. Fun! Adding color is a goal of mine, too.

I agree with everyone - with your coloring and your great legs, you certainly are able to pull off these dresses, and they're exactly the right length. What kind of shoes are you wearing?

Sarah, thank you! I'm wearing the Tsubo Acreas, which I LOVE They are the only heels I have been able to wear at this height, and the strap is velcro to adjust to my square feet.

Wow! Love these dresses. The TT is to die for--it looks so much better in the smaller size. I thought it was verging on overwhelming before. This one is killer! Gotta love those LT bargain dresses. Great color, style, and fit!

Love seeing you in color (and smiling like in the 3rd photo!). That first dress is pretty stunning, I wouldn't accessorize much, if at all. Tall brown boots would give it a pseudo-70s vibe if you wanted to get in on that trend.

I love, love, love the TT dress. You look gorgeous in these bright colors. I love the second dress, too, to be honest, and for $10, it's a true steal. I can see you getting a lot of wear out of both of these.

You have great legs for these dresses. Too bad it's probably too cold right now too head out in bare legs. . .

What a treat to see #1, I'd been eyeing that dress in Nordstrom's looks great on you. #2 is ok, but #1 is my favorite of the two.

Two pretty dresses and they both look great on you! If you're eager to wear them while the weather is still cold, have you thought about pairing either of them with colored tights? I'm not savvy enough to suggest specific colors, but you look like someone who could pull off a strong look like that.

I think the dresses speak for themselves. imo, the peacock has more of a summer, Carribean/Brazilian vibe, so I'd keep it for warmer weather for bare legs and nude shoes (the Tsubos look perfect!), or wear it with sheer hose in colder times, to keep in line with its character. The way you're wearing it in the pic is just flawless.
I'd pair the second one with black hose/tights for a more streamlined look. I think the bright magenta would make its best statement against all black/dark.
I'm really liking all those dresses!
