I am finding myself being less and less concerned about longevity of current trends. I am in a fairly comfortable place with my style now. I feel that I will follow my own timeline when I am tiring of somethin, or when something hangs around a while and has not been worn I can decide when to say good by to it. This summer maxi's got put away (have 2 nice ones and they may come back-then there is always Halloween), lace up flats and lower block heels are replacing ballerina flats, gladiator sandals are still hanging on, and infinity scarves have gone( I just don't like them). An getting tired of high low tops, but apparently I am a minority.

although distressed, ripped ,torn jeans were supposed to be going out, they seem to still be really big-don't own any and do not plan to, ever! I think skinnies, ankle pants, crops, rolled and cuffed pants and jeans are going to be around for a very looooong time. Looking like block heels are going to really take off, and this makes me happy.

Anyone else feel that even though something may be going out you still like it, and may just keep on wearing it? At my age I am thinking about the Red Hat poem a while back. Don't see those silly red hat ladies anymore but now I understand that mind set better..
