I'm so inspired by all the beautiful travel/holiday pictures I've been seeing on here and thought maybe i'll share some from our recent trip.

The human spirit needs places where nature has not been rearranged by the hand of man.’

This is the kind of place we discovered when we went to the Tree of Life (how i love the name!) Himalaya Hideaway Lodge in Rishikesh, a small town an hour away from my hometown. We decided to take a short trip (a night) to this place & were truly blown away with its natural beauty & surroundings

As you drive along, you have the hills on one side and the majestic river Ganga/Ganges flowing in all its glory on the other side. There's a feeling of pure Zen here...and you instantly find yourself being one with yourself.

It's a calm, serene, tranquil little hideaway with beautiful cottages surrounded by lush green forests...there is no cellphone network (maybe one odd spot on the entire property where you’ll get a weak signal), no internet and best of all – NO TV!

This place ensures that you rest, recuperate, be with ‘just yourself’, let go off to-do-lists and unfinished business and really become one with nature. I think Karan and I found the perfect place for a day to kick back and relax…because it was unbelievable how calm and at ease we felt after all the madness we go through in Mumbai….we truly found peace – within and around!

A haven for those who love peace, quiet and love yoga...i can't imagine a more beautiful spot to practice every morning. There are yoga classes here every morning and a little something for everyone... not to forget, there's lots for the adventure seekers too...from river rafting to bungee jumping to hiking...it truly is a spectacular place
