Hello - I am sorry!! Just wasn't on Off Topic. Yes, the Saturday morning will probably work. That is to say, if anything will work, the Saturday morning will work. There is still a tiny chance I might have to miss the whole thing, but if I am there I can be there on the Saturday, and I will let you all know ASAP if I'm unable to come. (It has to do with some arrangements between me and my brother and he hasn't made his decisions yet.)

Style Fan, I've been to Gravity Pope. Great shoe store! It'd be a bit of a hike from Queen Mother Cafe but easy to get to on the Queen streetcar.

The long range forecast is promising sunshine - so I've made a reservation for 8 (we can easily change the number) under 'Susan' ( I have so many aliases it's hard to keep up with all my personas) for Saturday Sept 12 for arrival between 11:30/11:45. They can't reserve the patio, but if we arrive shortly after opening (11:30am) it shouldn't be an issue.

Shorts if the weather continues through September as it has started. The QM Cafe is def casual/funky. I'll probably be in white shorts or white jeans (only if it isn't hot!) and either slip on sneaks or my most comfy sandals (black caged wedges).

I've gotten all the film tickets I could (seven movies plus my sister's film!) but left Saturday entirely open for hanging out with all of you as time permits. My sister is booked up with press events so I am pretty open and will hopefully be functional after a late night!

Just pull the money our of a Canadian ATM or use your plastic. The rate (for US) is so hugely favourable - around .75 U.S. = $1 CAD. Everyone takes plastic anyway.

All the TIFF stuff is set up on the edge of the banking district, so you will have access to plenty of financial institutions - heck, they even set up temporary portable ATMs on the street!

Hi all, thanks Merwoman for yanking me out of my summer stupor and back into forum-land I'm so sorry I can't come to this get-together as we have an annual street party which will be on Saturday. Hope you ladies had tons of fun and can't wait to hear what fall purchases you make! Helena xx

Unfortunately I am not able to come on Saturday unless a miracle happens. We have a sick doggie. She can stay at doggie kennel one night but not two. So I am staying in Muskoka (where I live) and DH is going to pick up friend at Toronto airport on Saturday.
That is so nice to suggest bringing my friend. He is coming in the afternoon though. DH and friend would be funny company with the fashion set.

Weather was great today! My mom and I spent a billion hours in line to pick up the tickets we bought online. Jake Gyllenhall was rumored to be making an appearance, but I didn't feel like joining a crazed crowd of gawkers. So excited to see you all on Saturday! And we walked by a Danier today....

Oh oh...don't like the sound of that lineup! Guess I will be there tomorrow doing the same. Looking forward to seeing you all on Saturday.

Gah! Spent my lunch break walking around the venue. Lot's of folks but generally quiet as all the techies were setting up - everything from ATM's to sound stages! The weather really was perfect.

I am having a blast. My brother and I saw the Natalie Portman film all the way out on Bloor St, then ate crepes and walked back via the university and by all the superfancy shops - Chanel, Burberry, etc. I also went into a Winners because he needed pants - I half-expected to see Shannon! It's a really easy city to figure out so far. See you all tomorrow!

Oh and I'm at the Hilton tonight so looks like I'm just a couple of blocks from the restaurant for tomorrow.
