Too many options - need help with scarf color

I'm really missing a nice solid colored scarf, next to my plaid and otherwise patterned ones. I have two cheap solid colored viscose scarves that I want to replace. I found these merino wool scarves online, they are made in a small scale production in Hamburg. I really like the look of the airy knit, I feel like it would give some interest to the looks I've been wearing lately.

There are two styles, either a loop scarf or a big triangle scarf (the loop is less expensive). Each is available in a huge range of colors... I definitely want one that works as a neutral with the colors I've been wearing lately, but I'm not sure what would be best.

Blue is my favorite color, so this is tough, but the red/burgundy color looks like it will go with a lot of outfits you're wearing lately.

I'm gonna say loop in tinte. I like the idea of the triangle scarf, but find the pattern a bit fussy and a little 90s (and even if it's been 20 years, it feels too soon to me to bring 'em back).

I'm really liking you in dark neutrals, and almost said black, but I'm thinking you can get a black scarf just about anywhere for any price. I'd go super super cheap on one.

Thanks Columbine! Yes, I'm a fan of blue too... I agree on the burgundy. Maybe not with the purple and burgundy sweater (depends on the color IRL), but with the rest.

Thanks Rachylou! I had no idea the second one looks a litte 90s... Can't remember that fashion decade I fear. I do think you're right, the loop is less fussy. And I agree, no black: I don't mind black all that much lately, but not nearest to my face.

How about a dark grey? The Marmor? (Basically the "black" Rachylou suggested). That would be a true neutral and would bookend my shoes. Or would that be too drab?

I'm not sure one color would go with everything shown unless you do choose a very neutral.

My first thought was adding something in a more complementary color like the rust tones...to lighten things up just a bit.

I like the dark grey. The Street or Marmor seem to have a bit of a "marl" to them. Nicely neutral without the flatness of black.

Thanks Texstyle! Yes, I guess it doesn't have to work with everything. But with most colors. I do think it would be more of a fall/winter/spring option, so it doesn't really need to work with the denim jacket... I don't want any warm toned colors though.

I think I'd prefer the darker grey, if I go with the neutral...

This sounds like a great addition to your accessory collection, Astrid. There are lots of muted colours to pick from. I bet Marmor & River would look good.

I like the loop scarf in river then street, then marmor if you like the darker. And even though I know you nixxed the warm-toned colors I'd just like to add that with your coloring I think you'd rock the schilf and the bordeaux!

That's a good choice. Grey seems like the perfect colour for now. Sophisticated, urban, sleek. Nice!

It's hard to be sure without seeing your hair and eye color, but it looks like you have cool-to-neutral coloring and skin tone. I would stick with cool colors as opposed to warm ones, and in particular perhaps a brighter color like tinte for some added interest. If that is too adventurous, go with a grey like mamour which has a blue undertone. And I agree on the loop scarf over the triangle one, I don't care for that pattern.

I know you might have already resolved this, Astrid, but for others following the thread, there is a Chan Luu cashmere silk blend scarf at net-a-porter that Kim at girls of a certain age blog can't stop talking about because they are so beautiful and versatile. There are a couple blues and a grey that would look fantastic with your wardrobe. I've been wishing for one of these for a while, now.
