To crop or not to crop, that is the question?

I'm very, very fickle when it comes to my hair neither being able to settle on one length, colour or even texture. I have been as short as Angie and as long as Greenglove in the past five years and now I'm feeling the itch to go short again.

I'm thinking of this type of style

which would be choppy, work with my waves (?) and easy to style BUT I do have a hesitation, although I'm comfortable with my looks my teeth are my least favourite body part, they are not atrocious but they are a little discoloured and not straight. I understand short hair accentuates the face so would this be a deal breaker for you?

I could totally see you with an impish, pixie cut. People would be too busy looking at your great hair and clothes to notice any teeth problems x

I can totally picture you with this cut! Isn't your friend Tim your hairdresser? I can't believe he would allow you to do anything that wouldn't look fabulous. I totally agree with Louise and Angie. You are beautiful. Go for it!

Yes it does accentuate the face and there are many highlights in your face to like. I think you'd look great with short hair.

Thank you Sihaya, it's funny how sometimes you can't see the positives for the one negative. My less than stellar teeth will still look the same regardless of the length of my hair.

I actually have a long term loan of Pop's laptop, mine came to serious harm when it lost a fight with a cup of coffee and have yet to load my (thankfully) backed up photographs.

I think something along those lines could definitely work for you. Personally I consider imperfect teeth (not diseased, though) to be a mark of character, but my dentist swears she could whiten my teeth without damaging the enamel, so there is always that to consider.

Also have you considered a laptop stand? I give my desk a good dash of coffee at least every two months to keep it on its toes. My laptop however sits above the fray.

Oh, I meant to add and will openly admit this may be my own insecurities here, but I think a short crop is far more risky if you have a largish nose (ahem) than if you have slightly crooked teeth. You have such beautifully feminine face (and a gorgeous shaped face and nose), I think that style would just give you that extra little edge!

Julie, have you tried any of the dental whitening-strips that are now available? I've found the "better" (a little more expensive, usually have something like "clinical strength" in the name) pretty effective.

And yes -- go for the cropped hair! It will be very fetching when combined with your more feminine clothing style and your body art.

Yup Lynne, I'm still deciding on colour but once the deed is done I will post pics.

April, probably too much info here but I'm a teeth grinder who has to be ultra cautious about not damaging the tooth enamel further. I should speak to my dentist about my options at my next visit, thank you for the tip.
