Thinking of taking a big $$$ leap - BF jeans

I am now kicking myself that I didn't try on Denise's TR jeans when she bought them with me in Tahoe. I didn't want to be tempted while on SYC. Anyway, the store she bought them at has them on sale now but one size smaller than I normally wear. Incidentally, it advises sizing down, but then you lose the BF fit, no? http://sidestreetboutique.com/.....Maker.html

Either one can be returned, so it's no risk to try, just aggravation of the post office and a couple of bucks lol.

Should I????? And which ones? Darker a size down, or med wash in my regular size?

Mo -- mine are a size 26, and my regular denim size is between a 27 and 26 (mostly a 27). I think these will fit you.

perfect timing Denise! Thanks . . . I am pretty much a dead-on 27 and those are sometimes tight in the waist. Hmmm, decisions, decisions.

qpswan, for what it's worth, Cocolion is 53 and bought them right before my very eyes lol! I am trying really hard to get past the money hurdle now that I'm in my 40's. I know I can't keep spending $20 and expect to look like a million $$.

So, my logical, rational side has popped out asking why I need jeans in July in FL. Damn that side! I will wistfully wait and hope they simply go on deeper discount over the next 2 months.

To play devil's advocate, Mo, how likely is it that the jeans will still be on sale in 2 months? Shorts -- yes, jeans -- I'm not so sure. Just throwing the thought out there.

Ooh, you just had to go and do that! I don't think they'd go back up in price . . . but they may sell out of my size. Argh. It is true that I have not bought jeans in over a year and purged a good 6 pair this winter. Oh, the tennis match in my head right now!

I love them! I think I prefer the lighter wash, but the darker wash is fab too.

Either wash is fine, I prefer the lighter, but not overly so. I have some I love (Vigoss from the Rack $24) that were a LOT cheaper so I'm not sure if the price of these justifies it in this case. I've been seeing so many more distressed jeans that I feel they will be more available and therefore more options available at different price points. If you think you will like them longterm ( I was not sure hence the under $30 commitment) then I think a higher budget is justified. If you had tried these and they were a magical fit I would greenlight you all the way, but if not then I would send you yellow light even though they are returnable.

I don't know about other's views on this, I would be sure the the distressing is secretly reinforced so that you don't just end up with majorly ripped jeans in a short period of time. I have owned a couple of pairs of distressed jeans, and the reinforced ones are really the way to go. They will look just right for years. Surely one wears jeans in Florida sometimes, right?

Mo, can you try both? Denise's pair are awesome, but I also quite like the paler wash for some of your tops and your jackets. If it's only a few quid to try, why not try and then decide?

Mo I would try them. That way you know for sure if you want to add them to your closet or not. Trying them on at home with your clothes etc is the best way to assess IMO. They are an investment so I would want to be sure. And given you can return them, you have nothing to lose:)

Well, I did it. GULP. My hear literally raced as I went to hit buy.

I need to really sit on my hands now. I also bought the blue dress I had in my Amazon cart for half a year. Over $200 spent just today and about $400 over the last weeks. Yikes. Most. ever.
